Smoke

One side of the valley is shrouded in smoke from a large forest fire.
We can all be thankful we have such dedicated teams of fire fighters both on the ground and in the air. This is the view from my house.

@tigerdreamer Karen, the fire is about 10km away, about 15 minutes drive. Still burning this morning but the wind has dropped significantly so hopefully they can contain it. Area it's burning is a large forest.

@kwiksilver still some hot spots around, wind not helping. Haven't heard of any flare ups today, but there were some yesterday. Lots of land, vineyards, orchards and olive trees destroyed. The large forest between Tulbagh and Wolsley has also suffered. Will try to get there during the week to see what damage has been done.
