Changing the Sky by salza

Changing the Sky

Playing in the sandbox today! - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/24826/sandbox365-new-sky-challenge

I did stuggle somewhat with this but in the end I did manage to get a whole new sky in. I did it by creating a new picture that I used some cloud brushes on and then added it as a new layer to my landscape picture.

Great job! I want to try and get to this assignment. I've been reading them all but Flash of Red has taken up a lot of my extra time.

Very clever, love it, I must give this a try, but too busy right now.

So did you darken the grass to add shadow or is it burned?
February 15th, 2015
Looks real enough that I didn't see anything but a landscape, and until I went to read about it, didn't realize you'd changed out the sky Nicely done!

I love all the drama! Great processing!

@Weezilou ha, isn't photoshop wonderful! I was actually quite easy to change the sky as well.

@tigerdreamer the grass is burnt. Summer is our fire season and there are lots of small fires, almost on a daily basis. Although these small fires can easily run wild and get out of control and then burn for days before control is regained. The wind doesn't help in these situations either.

@salza 'tis indeed! And now that I've got the hang of the quick selection tool, I've gone to town placing people and things in new settings! Love it! Continue to have fun there, too!

Can't believe you have added and painted the sky! It really came out convincingly well and even fits the scene overall!
February 16th, 2015
Well done with the new sky! Your choice of landscape is perfect for the steely grey of the clouds.

WOW..I need to be more adventurous! This is amazing!!
