From Lake Ohau the track climbed over Ohau Range to the East Ahuriri River and onto Ahuriri River. There was no obvious track for long stretches after leaving the marked A20 cycleway and on the other side of the range a 4WD track had once cleared a path and was overgrown but some definition on the valley floor helped in a small way to find my way.
This little creek was my lunch stop looking at right angles from the steep climb over Ohau Range.
@dkbarnett@christinav I was lost every day in one way or another, but no never really lost, just had a puzzle to work out. To solve it I walked in lots of circles.
