Same species – different colours. I bought these plants as seedlings but cannot trace their exact names. I only found out that they form part of aster, daisy, or sunflower family (Asteraceae or Compositae), which is the largest family of vascular plants. The family has more than 22,750 currently accepted species, spread across 1620 genera, and 12 subfamilies (no wonder I couldn't single these out). Most members of the Asteraceae are herbaceous, but a significant number are also shrubs, vines and trees. The family is distributed throughout the world, and is most common in the arid and semi-arid regions of subtropical and lower temperate latitudes.
beautiful colours! I had uploaded a photo and had asked fellow 365'ers if they knew what these flowers are called...a number of people told me they are called painted daisies in layman's terms! Enjoyed reading the more drtailed info though! :)
