JUST PASSING THROUGH

Snowdonia Nature Park.

We Maltese - at least many of us - are so thrilled with mountains, lakes and rivers. And this is for the simple reason that in Malta you don’t find them. We have plenty things to boast about here: we have sunshine almost all the year round and are surrounded by the beautiful welcoming Mediterranean Sea where the more daring can swim all the year round. We have fantastic sea and (to a lesser extent) country views. We have no natural disasters, like floods and landslides, scarce criminality so we can go anywhere during the night without being afraid of attacks (these happen but very rarely). We have fantastic fortifications and some beautiful baroque buildings. We have a lot of history to talk about and can boast of the oldest temples in the world, at least 1000 years older than the pyramids in Egypt and much more older than Stonehenge. But the views like this one and yesterday’s you won’t see them here. So that’s what brings the thrill when we go abroad and see these wonderful scenic places.
Now that is a wonderful view, love the scene.

You can sense the curvy road threading through those mountains. Love the crossing lines of the mountains in the distance.

love the image and words. You will have to come to Australia, we have mountains and lakes and deserts and snow and beautiful beaches and lovely wildlife and BIRDS. We do have crime and we don't have ancient temples! x

@digitalrn @denisedaly @peterauliciems @johnnyfrs @jodimuli @steeler @chamal @jenrobcarr @kerristephens @luvthyclassics Thanks a lot for your kind comments. Jennifer, I know that Australia has so much to offer from my brother who was there a few years ago visiting his son. But you are not comparing like with like: Australia is a continent almost as big as Europe and Malta is just a little speck in the Mediterranean, invisible on the world map.
