July 2oth. I had to take some final shots at Montenvers – in fact, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the place. I was so struck with the beauty of the environment that I bought a book about the place even though I didn’t need it. This is a final shot I took before we reluctantly took the mountain train back to Chamonix. I was enthralled by the cloud formation above the Alps.
