July 2oth. Still at Montenvers Glacier. Like I said in the picture previous to the last, after going half way down the valley by cable car we had to walk along a footpath, 2 persons wide down the rocky side of the valley to reach the bottom where we could enter into the heart of the glacier (actually we didn’t go a long way inside). In this shot I have tried to capture the walk back to the cable car station. If you look closely you will see the cabins at the middle top of the picture. We were breathless by the time we got up there.
Thank you very much for looking and for your wonderful comments on yesterday’s picture. For those who asked, in the middle picture is a selfie (taken by my wife). I am with her in the picture on the righthand bottom shot and she is with a friend in the photo next to my selfie.
