Shot posted, completely sooc.
I had to post this picture – to me it was so dramatic. I noticed the red in the sky on my way home as the sun was setting. Got home, grabbed the camera and hurried up to the roof to take a few shots just in time.
We have a rhymed saying in Malta which translates as follows;
‘When the sky is red in the evening, prepare the horse for the races.
When the sky is red in the morning, prepare where to shelter them.’
And this is very true, because when the sky is red in the evening the next day will be a beautiful sunny day and the red in the sky is in the morning would result in a dreary rainy day.
Thank you very much for looking and for your comments on yesterday’s picture.
Ours is "Red sky in morning, sailors take warning. Red sky at night, sailor's delight." Same idea, What a dramatic sky. It must have been wonderful to see.
beautiful capture of the sunset - i have noticed that we have had a few dramatic sunsets like that in Ontario (Canada) in the past several months - the trick is to have the camera ready as these sunsets don't seem to last long unfortunately
