WET CARNIVAL

The only time I had to go and take some shots of the Maltese carnival was Saturday evening but, unfortunately, because of the inclement weather, people were few and all the carnival floats where kept in their shelter. There was only one band around, a group of young dancers and 2 or 3 hand-drawn floats. And these are the only pictures I have to show of it. Perpahs next year will be better.

You've managed to get some good colour despite the rain.

At least in Malta you guys do your Carnival celebrations the weekend *before* Lent; in my town, our big Carnival parade and celebration is next weekend, *during* Lent... I've never understood why we do that.
