Jennifer is sitting in her yard sipping a drink and eating chocolate cake. She is trying to sort out the photographs she had taken during the day and the day before. Max sits happily near her waiting for his share of the chocolate cake.
Suddenly Nick and Jeff appear from nowhere. Nick carries a red rose in his beak.
Nick: “Hi, Ms Carr, something has cropped up and we have to leave abruptly. We didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye."
Jennifer: “Wow, what a surprise! Is it true you have to leave. I thought you had settled down on our beach.”
Jeff: “It was nice staying here, Jennifer, but if we stay it will definitely be the end of me.”
Nick: “I brought this red rose especially for you to thank you for your kind help while we were here.”
Jennifer: “How sweet and thoughtful of you, Nick. Many thanks for this great complement of yours. You didn’t have to; bet you spent a lot on it.”
Jeff: “Don’t worry, Jennifer. The rose didn’t cost anything. Nick stole it from your neighbour’s garden.”
Nick to Jeff red with rage and in an undertone: “F*** your stupidity, Jeff. Thanks for giving me up.”
The story continues.
Time to say goodbye is a beautiful ballad sung by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli. It was first launched by Andrea Bocelli (who was an unknown entity at the time) with the title ‘Con te partiro’’ at the 1995 festival of San Remo – Italy’s most popular song festival which I watched. Although it placed overall second, I was immediately struck by its beauty. Both versions were hits all over Europe.
The Bocelli-Brightman version alone sold more than 12 million copies worldwide, making it one of best-selling singles of all time
My husband Jeff (not to be confused with your seagulls!) loves the Bocelli/Brightman version. It is a beautiful song indeed! Well, Nick and Jeff are off to more adventures- and the send off shot is perfectly processed. Nice job!!
