Tuscany holiday – day 4 - while I continue to sort out and process all the shots I took during the Independence festivities.
The answer is ‘the lady is going in’. This is the entrance to Monteriggioni. I took the shot as the sun was setting when we were leaving the place. The young lady had just walked into the village and I thought she was a great subject to capture in the particular setting.
Let me make myself clear about Monteriggioni – the place is not bleak like I showed in my pictures of yesterday and the day before. In colour with the red/yellow hues of the stone and the blue sky it is a lovely place to visit. But for me, it is too secluded, too quiet, few people and no shops except a few restaurants and souvenir ones. You have to drive to the nearest city to get your daily requirements. Besides, buildings like those, although beautiful to see from outside, probably do not have the comforts we are used to.
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments and the fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
