No, these are not Christmas lights. They are the decorations for a festa.
Another shot of the Bormla parish church which I took last Saturday. The church is dedicated to The Immaculate Conception of Mary. After taking some shots from the spot of yesterday, Christine (my wife) and I decided to drive to Bormla to get a better opportunity for some more shots of the church. Took us some time to find a parking space but we finally found one and after a short walk came to this location where I thought I could take the better shots.
Thank you so much for looking and for the wonderful comments and the fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
This looks familiar....I was in Malta 2005 and we were staying about one hour from Valletta. I saw this lighted church from our balcony and there were some huge festivals going on there at that time, i think it had something to do with virgin Mary...
It looks beautiful lit up like that. Hope the weather is good there at the moment as my Mum arrives in Malta tomorrow for a weeks holiday. Whatever it is like I am sure it will be warmer than here!
Great shot of all those nice lights and the night view on that beautiful church.
