Chadwick Lakes #4
The first dam I came across. The water looked so beautiful rushing over the brim of the stoneworks. What a difference it is to the dry Summer months!
I am posting two shots today, one for today and one for tomorrow as we are going to Gozo for the week-end and I will not be on the internet. We have had sunshine and warmth throughout this week. Today it has suddenly gone very cold and windy and we have to expect hail, too. Tomorrow and for the whole week-end it will get worse. Just our luck. And, btw we have to cross to Gozo by the ferry boat.
Joke: Two stalkers – both with guns hidden under their jackets are following an old man at Chadwick Lakes at night. One of them suddenly cries out and falls to the ground.
He doesn't appear to be breathing and his eyes are rolled back in his head, so his friend panics and calls 112 on his mobile telephone.
''My friend is dead!'' he cries. ''What can I do?''
The operator, speaking in a soothing voice, tries to calm him down. ''Just take it easy. Calm down, I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead.''
The line goes silent for a moment and there's a loud bang before the man comes back on the line. ''Okay,'' he says breathlessly, ''Now what?''
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Looks like there's plenty of water there and it looks great spilling over the dam. Have a lovely weekend and hope the weather isn't too bad - especially when you're on the ferry!
