Saturday, 7th – Gozo. Ok, the last day of the week-long sacred music festival was dedicated to this Gospel Choir. It is the only one in Malta, only recently set up. Forming part of this choir are some of the best singing talents in Malta. Two of them have represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Festival and a third will be going this year. In one of the asides during the show they said they set up this group to praise God through the gift He gave them – their voice. Interesting among this group is the 4th lady from the left in the back row. Guess who she is – the United States Ambassador to Malta who is a keen gospel singer.
Joke: A church had a man in the choir who couldn't sing. Several people hinted to him that he could serve in other places, but he continued to come to the choir. The choir director became desperate and went to the pastor.
"You've got to get that man out of the choir," he said. "If you don't, I'm going to resign. The choir members are going to quit too. Please do something."
So the pastor went to the man and suggested, "Perhaps you should leave the choir."
"Why should I get out of the choir?" he asked.
"Well, five or six people have told me you can't sing."
That's nothing," the man snorted. "Fifty people have told me that you can't preach!"
Thanks a lot for looking and for the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
I know I would have enjoyed this concert! And how about that, our ambassador to Malta can double as a Gospel singer- very cool! Nice collage (and funny joke!).
