I took these shots without any filters or any other way of controlling the immense sun glow into the lens so I used the natural method – waited for the clouds to filter some of the intense glow. This is how the solar eclipse showed in Malta. The top shot is at its lowest and the bottom how it showed at its highest. Both shots are mounted on a shot that went wrong with the intense sun glare.

"Didn't you read any of the warnings?" said a friend who was passing by, "You could go blind looking at the sun like that!"
"I'm not that stupid," he replied, squinting. "I'm looking at the moon."
