Took this shot a few days ago before 9.00am. This is the beach club of the Fortina Hotel in Sliema. It is connected to the hotel through a passage under the street where the hotel has also a big restaurant opening onto the beach club. When it was being constructed I used to come and have a look on the progress with my dad who I still miss even though it is over 3 years since he has gone forever.
Joke: Jeff and Judy had been married for 25 years when they decide to take a vacation at a sunny location. On the first morning they take breakfast, change into their swim suits, pick up their towels and off they go to the beach club. They find two adjacent sunbeds and lie down taking in the sun.
After a short nap Judy looks at Jeff and asks: 'Honey, what are you doing?'
Jeff : “Nothing. Just having a look at this.”
Judy: 'Nothing...? You've been reading our marriage certificate for an hour.'
Jeff: 'I was looking for the expiry date.'
