This is how the area of the Sliema promenade known as Għar id-Dud (pron: are id dood and meaning Cave of worms) looked like during the storm we had last Friday. The force of the wind was so big that you feel like you may topple over any time.
Why ‘Cave of the worms’ – because there is partly submerged cave which goes from the sea right across the promenade and the road and I don’t know for how long. They say it is/used to be full of sea worms.
Many thanks for viewing and for the comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
Nature is so impressive - and a little frightening sometimes. Super record, Dione, fav. And thank you for your nice words, so much appreciated, on the photo of us :)
Great shots and collage.
It seems all around people like to live near the coast line. Gladly our country has a new law that`s makes an end to all those huge buildings. No more new ones.
That was quite some storm you had, Dione! I've enjoyed viewing your dramatic images of it - well done for going out in all the wind and wet and taking them - true dedication.
This is a great montage.
