Sunday, 12th February. The last day of our weekend in Gozo.
After our visit to the Ta’ Pinu Shrine we drove to this gorge-like valley. The area was muddy and the tyres of my car are still covered with the mud. But we had a lovely walk along this valley which ends in up with this scenic work of nature.
At the tip you can see two young persons getting ready to abseil down the cliff face.
Wied il- Mielaħ is the Maltese name for Salty Valley. Don’t ask me why it is called that because I don’t know.
Where do they land when they have abseiled? In the sea? My knees went weak at the idea!!
