Second day of our Sicily holiday.
This is a shot of Ragusa Ibla – the old town of Ragusa - on top of a hill.
Ragusa suffered a devastating earthquake in the early 17th century together with much of Sicily and most of the town was destroyed. It was rebuilt in the Baroque style. Malta, too, suffered from that earthquake and there were many buildings that were destroyed but little (if any) loss of life in Malta.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
A great view and capture of this lovely, nice looking, town .Fav.
If you are ever able to visit you`re very welcome. I save a room for you and would show you around.
Fab pov and the subtle sweep of the path and road lead the eye through the image neatly. Looks like an interesting place to visit, the architecture and colours are very plaesing to view.
