One last image from my photoshoot journey along the Sliema seafront on this 22nd day of December. This is another area around Sliema which is always severely hit by grigale winds (coming from the North East). I took these shots from the opposite side of the bay. The St Julians Waterpolo Club is the place that suffers most and a lot of damage is caused each time a storm hits Malta. The crashing waves very often hit the pavement along the promenade and reach the buildings on the opposite side of the busy street. Many car owners who know the area try to avoid the street and pass through alternative routes.
Portomaso is in the left lower picture. Luxury yachts are normally berthed in the breakwater-protected small harbour. They don’t seem to be there and have probably been taken to a more sheltered place.
Many thanks for your views, comments, and FAV’s. They are very much appreciated.
Happy New year to everyone. Do not drink if you are going to drive when celebrating the beginning of the year.
My husband luckily was a surface worker and only occasionally had to go below surface. He was an instrument technician and his job was to keep the plant moving! He only told me when he retired what he had to do from time to time, if I had known I would never have rested. !!
