BELITTLED

Posting early for tomorrow as very early in the morning we are going away again. I may not be able to post and comment for the next few days.

Day 2 of our Portugal – 31st March (Easter Eve)

One more shot from the Fatima Basilica. I consider myself a good catholic but I felt belittled by the immense faith and devotion of these people who were walking on their knees (some on their hands too) across the big square of the basilica to the spot where the apparitions took place. I felt particularly for the lady in the pink jersey who was struggling on both hands and knees to make it to the chapel that is on the site of the apparitions. Inside myself, I felt a big urge to go and comfort and assist her but, of course, I didn’t because I would be an intruder in such personal and delicate circumstances.
Thank you so much for looking and for your comments on yesterday’s picture.
