4th January and Max was still in his school Christmas holiday period.
After our visit to Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Neolithic temples in December, which Max seemed to have enjoyed I made up my mind to take him to the Archeology Museum to show him some of the artifacts found at these and others temple sites. I had been there a couple of times before but I always marvel when I revisit.
The two finds in this collage are always amazing to see. The one on the left is the oldest statue ever found in Malta and that is no joke being over 6000 years old. The neatness of the carvings on the one on the right demonstrates the skills of our ancestors in a slightly nearer period. The two statues are between 3 and 4 inches big. I added in this collage the information for those interested.
Max enjoyed himself in the museum and apart from the information I gave him myself he asked questions too about what he saw and that proved to me his interest in what he was looking at.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments on yesterday’s picture.
