There is a legend about this Stone of Scone which is supposed to bring luck for those who kiss it. From the very beginning I wasn’t prepared to kiss any stone for good luck. I have been so blessed throughout my life that I felt it would be an affront to Our Lord to kiss a piece of stone for luck. When I saw what you had to do to kiss this stone I was even more convinced not to try that because of the way you treat your back; I was sure I would have strong back pain for the rest of the holiday and even have to stay in bed until the pain passed. You can read about the legend on the Internet by hitting the Stone of Scone.
I can relate so well to this as I kissed the Blarney Stone a few years ago... might be four years ago now now time flies! Quite a scary thing to do as you have to lean over so far! I never ever realised the stone was so high up & all the queuing to get to the top! I was glad after I had been brave enough!
