The other day I decided to go with Max to walk up to Laferla Cross on top of one of the highest hills in Malta. It took me quite some time to find the narrow footpath that that leads the way up there. I have been wanting to visit this cross for years especially on the night between Maundy Thursday and Good Friday when candles are lit all the way up and make a wonderful sight. The cross takes the name of the benefactor who decided to pay for and build the cross and a chapel next to it.
Tomorrow morning we will catch the plane home and we will need long days to recuperate our strength after walking miles and miles the streets of Rome.
