OLD ROME

Day 1 – Rome
The sun was setting as we trudged our way back to central Rome, hardly able to stand on our feet after a wonderful long day exploring Trastevere. When I saw this archeological site in the heart of Rome I could not move on without taking several shots. This is a merge of two of them.

A fascinating piece of history. There are plans for a major Roman dig in York, once a 1960s office block is demolished.
