From my walk which started and ended at St Peter’s Pool.
I had seen this lovely chapel standing there in the middle of nowhere as I was driving to St Peter’s Pool but could not stop to take a shot of it because I had a car right behind me and I was eager to start my walk. But on the way out of the area, heading to Marsaxlokk I had time to stop and take a shot.
I made sure to capture a sign next to it which gives the name of the chapel but when I uploaded the photo on the computer it was not readable. I tried to google it but I didn’t know the name of the area either. So you have it here without a name. I hope you like it.
Thank you so much for your views, comments and fav's.
It's Madonna tas-Silg. Used to take youths on week end retreats there. Can recollect various adventures. There is a multi period archeological site nearby. There was a temple dedicated to the goddess Juno and the notorious Gaius Verres is associated with the place. (He stole cushions and was reported to Rome)
Beautiful building, well worth the stop on your return trip. Thank you for showing us the history and beauty of Malta. I can’t wait to visit it one day.
