Dedicated to my mum who is in heaven . Mother’s Day today here. I do not have a digital picture of my mum so I dedicate this picture to her.
I was walking along the countryside near Għargħur a couple of days ago when I saw this flock of 30 or 40 birds flying in a frenzy at great speed without any direction and I knew that these weren’t the normal birds I see on my walks. So I took shot after shot of those that flew past. I realized they were Anteaters when I saw the photos on the screen of the camera when I had finished taking shots of them. I was so happy to have been there at the right time. I think they were on their way north, migrating to cooler countries. At the same spot where I stopped to take their pictures, I had seen the same scene some years ago and took shots of them too. I think I must have posted shots of them on 365 back then. Now I have to make it a point to be there at this time of the year in the coming years to take repeat pictures of them.
