NAPLES – DAY 7 – FINAL LAP.
Certosa e Museo di San Martino – the museum. Apart from paintings and sculptures the museum has a wonderful exhibition of cribs and Nativity scenes. I couldn’t stop taking shots of all that was on show. Of the lot I chose to show these four pictures of figurines that at one time used to decorate Neapolitan cribs and found themselves in the museum. Each figure is not bigger than 6 to 8 inches. There is so much talent in the hands that made them, don’t you think? They were behind glass so I had some difficulty to avoid reflections on the glass.
Thank you so much for all your views, comments and fav's. They are always appreciated.
Before I read your narrative I wondered about the glass... You did very well, especially in the middle 2 photos!
The figurines are beautiful too! So much detail!
