solitary fritillaria

this is growing in the planter barrel at school, just one, and appeared as the other flowers were getting past their peak! It reminded me of Louise who introduced me to them in her photos on 365 when she was one of our group a few years ago. Sadly her dad isn't so well these days so it's nice to remember her as I pass this in the morning and at the end of the day.
They are very beautiful. I like their dappled appearance.

I don't actually know Louise, but I find photos like these so meaningful. The human connections to those we love and those we don't even know are very important to me.
