Looking at old photos

Daughter asked me to send some old photos of her for Christmas fun and I found this one in the box...of our garden the year we moved in to this house! No sign of tall weeping Beech Tree that is such a feature now....I wonder if it was actually planted or from a seedling that landed!! What a difference ....26 years.
Three good things
1. Light memories in summer photos.
2. Fish pancakes for tea.
3. Curtains closed early...shutting out the dark. I think today was the darkest day of November right here!
As you say, ... 26 years! Trees do sometimes appear from nowhere. I remember our house in Aberdeen ... we left it for 12 years, rented out, with gardener, and when we came back we had a pretty big eucalyptus tree in the garden, which had never been there before. Your photo is lovely, and certainly had you thinking back to those days when kids were small and life was quite different. Nice.
