A friend invited me to join her in some virtual choir practices for a Praise Gathering concert in Glasgow. She has been enjoying this for several years and I thought it would be fun! Well it is at some levels and rather strange at others. Singing along to the video of the leader playing piano / conducting as though he had the whole choir there......it's a little odd. And I haven't even been able to practise with my friend .....yet! Last week I had to record myself singing my alto part and sending it in for a 'Virtual performance' that they are putting together. OOOOOOHHHH!!!
I don't think I would select myself to sing in the choir but they were very reassuring and said 'Don't expect to be perfect! Good is good enough!!'
And today I had to send in a photo of myself practising!! so Allan took this photo of me sitting on the stairs where the light was good!!!
The concert is not going to be held now until 2021 so perhaps I will know what I'm doing by then!
Three good things
1. An hour in the garden at Mum's before having to head home! She's not doing so well right now and it's never easy to leave!
2. Good travelling.....and particularly grateful to have reached home safely as I came across a Police Slow sign and a very smashed up car .........sand all over the road presumably for a fuel spill.
3. Got some work done for school when I got back!
I’m always so glad when you say you’ve been with your mum, I know it means so much to her to see you. Virtual choirs are all the rage, I’m proud of you for signing on. We are always learning new things aren’t we?!
