From the garden

Delightful finding such a selection of scented and beautiful flowers in our garden yesterday. Enjoying it even in the rain this evening!!!
Busy day.....went for a 2K jog/walk before breakfast, my legs were restless s just got up and went out! Lovely morning. Had a catch up Zoom call with my sisters and were all delighted with the impact of being a team! Covered over 750 km between the four of us. Awesome!
Spent a couple of hours working in Allan's 'other garden' in the village. He has planted lots of vegetables to use the area- responded last year to a notice in the Paper Shop window. Lovely lady whose husband had passed away is enjoying seeing everything growing well.
Today we came home with potatoes, beetroot and turnips, and stir fried the carrot and leek seedlings that I collected while thinning the rows. I read recently that you can eat the greens of carrots so checked online and had a tasty lunch with left over chicken and potatoes from last night. šŸ˜„
Three good things
1. Growing things to eat.
2. Washing dried outdoors and in before the rain started!
3. A bargain cube unit at Homebase, perfect for organising and storing all my school resources.
Nothing wasted today then....I love micro veg....small & sweet! I would love a proper cutting garden so I can pick flowers for the vase. I saw a beautiful flower vase today in the ore loved shop....I resisted!

Lovely image. How lovely to have the flowers and the veggies! We had our first potatoes this week. Growing your own is very satisfying. We are complete novices though, and not everything has been successful.
