The back gate

Fresh snow ....no one goes this way really. We used to have neighbours across the lane but no one likely to live in the house anymore.
And the gate down the lane is locked as the family who moved in last year don't want people wandering through 'their garden'. We think it is quite sad! The big house was once The Manse where the ministers of the Church of Scotland lived....before our time. And the lane was used carefully by lots of people with children and dogs. Our little guys loved it.
There's a lot of water under the bridge, in every sense.
Three good things
1. Successful shortbread making this morning.
2. Online church.
3. A good stride round the bypass loop before more snow started falling.
And 4....great aroma of some Sri Lankan chicken curry Allan is cooking with one of the spice packs he got for his Birthday from Susannah! 😊😊
Wonderful to see the freshly fallen snow. Sorry to hear that the area is now closed to local walkers and families.

Sad to loose that sense of community...never mind you will know lots of other friendlier neighbours.

Lovely shot - it's a pity your new neighbours don't like people using that path though!
