Remaining flowers

These flowers are from the arrangement we got for Grannie's funeral. Rather than leaving them in the stormy weather of the cemetery, where no one would even notice them, it was agreed by the family that we should take them home.
It seems a little strange to me as up north where my parents are buried the cemeteries are very well cared for and local people visit and enjoy the flowers until they are past their best and the caretakers remove them if the family haven't done so.
But in large old cemeteries that's not done.
So I'll enjoy them for as long as they last.
Three good things
1. A walk to the library to collect a book for me!! Usually the order is for Allan who reads a lot. Something reminded me of 'The Pearl' which I had read at school but have no real memory of the story so....
2. A catch up visit to a friend, a little while extended to 2 hours later....
3. Michael Portillo- on the Far North Railway Line' so lovely to see all the places I know so well.
That's a really beautiful bouquet

Lovely flowers, and better for them to be enjoyed at home. I hope you enjoy that book!
