Just had to get up close to the leaves on the copper beech tree in the garden where I grew up!
It is glorious at any time of year, but when the buds have just opened the leaves are awesome! Loved the way they caught the sunshine.
I realise that what i thought were young copper beech leaves at Benmore must have been ordinary beech leaves as the colour is not as intense as in these, lovely tones!
