Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

Had to go to Aberdeen for a meeting - rather tedious but at least we finished on time! Afterwards I walked a couple of miles to the city centre to meet Allan, passing the hospital on the way. From this side it all looks very modern, the rather older parts are on the other side. Thankfully we haven't needed to attend hospital too often, and anytime we have had to go there we have received great care from everyone.
Three good things
1. A good afternoon for a walk
2. Pizza Express next door to the cinema, and a very good movie (The Theory of Everything)
3. Lots of rain when we got out but at least it wasn't white stuff!!!
A very pleasing shot of the A.R.I -- the modern buildings are very similar in architectural design these days and very much in vogue of their purpose - Our local Princess Royal Hosp in Telford is somewhat similr in design ! and I have no complaint in the treatment I have had on each time I have been in ! The only problem at the moment like at anywhere else is the backlog due to shortage of beds - and so I am still on the waiting list for a shoulder replacement -- but although I am in much pain and discomfort --it is not a life threatening condition ! --so one has to be patient !

Lovely view of all the new build. If you are on the higher floors inside you get amazing views over Aberdeen.
