I've just been messaging Laura in Melbourne and she sent this photo of herself with Nicola, one of her very good friends from school days at Inverurie Academy.
I love the fact that she has 'home company' for the weekend.
They met when they were 12 and now they are 30 . Fantastic to be together for a holiday weekend exploring the Great Ocean Road,
Nicola lives and works in Sydney .....so much closer to Melbourne than Scotland!
Three good things
1. Friends. ....make all the difference in the world.
2. Long term friends and great memories. ....all 4 of 'the B Team' are still in touch with lovely friends from school and nice to meet them or their parents round about or in Tesco/Marks & Spencer /etc.....or even here on 365, Elsie T @elmay 😊
3. A sunny morning and I am up at Mum and Dad's for the weekend.
Lovely to get that instant photo and see Laura and her friend so happy together. Friends from all stages in life are great but school friends just know you so well and share so much.
@elmay@digitalrn thank you for your lovely comments. And it's lovely that there are so many ways to keep in touch these.days. Elsie, hope Brian fine after his marathon.
That's wonderful that they landed not too far from each other! I know for me that as I get older I'm appreciating the ones I've kept in touch with more and more.
