I just love the flowers that arrived yesterday from 'my four favourite children' as the card said!!!
David in Kiev, Laura in Melbourne, Jonathan in Aberdeen and Susannah in Edinburgh.......
Ten years ago they were all close at hand and we had a lovely party for my friends but this year they are each in their own places but all in touch and lots of messages. A different phase of life and being 60 is just fine...........still lots to enjoy and explore I hope.
My mum and dad called after mid-day to say I was definitely 60 now!!! She remembers it all like you do and I'm very privileged to still have both of them to visit fairly regularly.
Three good things.......how can I limit them to three today!!
1. A lovely surprise call from Australia and texts and Facebook messages ........
2. Cards and gifts and flowers
3. Family and friends...........make all the difference in the world!
