I've had a very dusty session this afternoon clearing very ancient books that Dad had collected over many years or had been given by people even older when they were moving out of family home etc etc.....
They had their day....and I have bags of them going to recycling tomorrow!! Now there's lots of room for photo albums, a few games for great grandchildren visiting Mum and other useful odds and ends.
Three good things
1. Soap water and wipes!
2. Recycling centres
3. Time to explore photo boxes with Mum....happy memories.
@happypat thank you Pat. Mum's doing very well and enjoying a change of pace. She gets plenty rest and enjoys sharing stories about herself and Dad with friends who come to visit.....lpts of them. And we're all having a lot of laughter sharing info and questions on our family WhatsApp group. Not bad for being 90!!😊
Oh, I have had to clean out old booksmyself. So hard. Good job even though a part of me immediately thought I wish I could be there to snoop through them before therecycle center. Bad, pack rat tendencies
