We had a lovely gentle funeral service for our dear friend today.
Lovely music, words from the last chapter of Proverbs suited her perfectly, a poem in Doric about the Farmer's Wife.....must admit I would have needed a translator! ....and singing and prayers. Surrounded by family members and other friends like ourselves and a good number of the carers who had looked after her x4 every day for about 18 months. These ladies were awesome and today you could tell how appreciative they were. And appreciated!
Three good things
1. Meeting the grandchildren again....I had been children minder for the first one who's now 24....And they are all over 6ft tall!!!
2. Lovely peaceful cemetery where she was laid to rest.
3. Catch up over lunch at a lovely local hotel where their wedding reception had been held many years ago. Sweet memories. 💛
