I needed to take a photo with the theme "Framed" for my 52 week challenge, and my attempts at framing the wild flowers in the farm gates didn't work yesterday. I know this isn't really framed, but I also have candles lying around to do my camera club set subject, and framing a reflection in the mirror was all that came to mind...
@cottiac Thank you. Of course you could pull it off. Was actually one of the easier shots I've done - but I had run out of time and was desperate to put something together. Nothing more than my camera on a tripod, a 6 inch mirror on a stand and a candle in front of it. The mirror was a cheapie with an ugly grey plastic frame around it, but with all the lights turned off the grey plastic frame melted into the blackness and the edges seemed to glow gold from the candlelight.
@narayani That is definitely one way to describe it. Probably cheating a bit because being framed is usually looking through something like a doorway, arch, branches etc. instead of creating a frame around an object. But the more I tried to think of what I could use to frame something, the more stuck I became, so decided I had to step right outside that mental block and just do something.
