The bug has bitten ... my mother taught me to tat when I was a teenager, and I haven't done any since - doilies and dressing table mats are just too old fashioned. But I recently rediscovered this lost art and I'm teaching myself again for when I want something small and mobile to keep myself busy for brief periods of time (like at hospital waiting rooms). When I get better at it again, little motifs like this can be stuck onto cards, or sewn onto jeans pocket to glam up ordinary, cheap denims.
