feeling blessed

I have so much to be thankful for. I have been spoilt rotten with such supportive friends and family. A wonderful friend from Cape Town popped by today. She said she knew I would have flowers, and they won't last long in this heat so she brought a gift instead. It is a fabulous Carol Boyes Hot Pot. Now I have a challenge - I need to learn how to photograph stainless steel so it looks silver and not brown or whatever else it reflects. Perhaps I should have put it on white instead? Will try that another day.
Yes White or Black helps - I love his work you are indeed lucky!

Wow! Funky piece. Great reflections, too.

@cottiac Thank you. Carrol Boyes is a woman artist (South African but has outlets all over the world). I have a few of her pieces now ... from jam spoons and butter knives, to serviette holder, small serving dish, and now my biggest piece yet, this hot pot.

@narayani Thanks Narayani. It is interesting. I thought of you when I saw it. I love the shape of the handle, and it pours like a dream.

@777margo Thanks Margo
@meotzi Thanks Meotzi. Yes it is funky, isn't it. All her work is quite funky (but very practical). She has a few designs, and this piece matches the design I already have a few pieces of.

I think you have photographed the smaller pieces before, haven't you? Very striking!
