And another early morning walk with the dogs.... earlier than usual lately because I had to get home and get showered to go to Cape Town for the day. But so great to be out so early. Must try and get myself going extra early more often when I don't have so many time constraints.
@ludwigsdiana@narayani@nodrognai@anniesue Thank you so much for the positive comments. @nodrognai This is only how the small time fishermen catch fish here. They go out in small boats with very fine nets to catch mullet or harder near the surface of the ocean. Here on the west coast much of this fish is salted and dried in a way that has been done for centuries to preserve the fish. It is called bokkoms (pronounced bawk awms). More commercial fishing is done by the bigger fishing trawlers which feature in some of my photos. This is middle level fishing. We don't have any ships that do bottom fishing, for which I am very thankful as I believe dragging the extra heavy nets along the the ocean floor is very destructive.
