The bridge over the Olifants River on the N7. After a delay to my journey due to the discovery of some serious water ingress into my apartment from flooding above which required me to get contractors in to assess the damage to submit reports and quotes to insurance, and the discovery of a problem with the exhaust manifold of my car, I am finally on the way to see my little granddaughter to be there for her 2nd birthday
@ludwigsdiana The first long trip I did after Don died was quite scary and also happy/sad. But I had to do it against the advice of all my friends, and I am glad I did. It gave me the confidence to know I can do things without Don after being the pampered and looked after part of a team for my entire adult life. @narayani Thanks very much. I decided to view it as a blessing that my trip was delayed by problems at the apartment - it was only because of that, that I happened to take my doglets for a nail trim and Philip heard the sound in my car engine that I hadn't been aware of, so at least I didn't break down along the way. @anniesue Thanks so much. Yes I was a little on tenterhooks and glad I didn't miss Maddy's birthday after all.
