Not easy to spot at first because this was quite far off the road, but once I took some photos to show Maddy on my LCD screen what to look for, she then saw the leopard herself. What excitement when she could finally identify the "letter in the tree"
@anniesue It was wonderful family time. Maddy sat in the front on my lap instead of being strapped into her car seat because we all have to drive very slowly at all times - it is not like driving on normal roads. So she loved being in the front on my lap with the window open. It did make taking photos a little more challenging though, with a wriggly little being. But I really had decided this holiday was all about the experience and being in the moment, and I was not going to get precious about trying to get photos of everything. I hope she will remember - but I suspect we will go back with her before too long. She loved spotting animals and trying to say the names of the different animals.
@narayani Yes it was more important. Although I have to delete about a hundred slightly blurry photos - there are just a handful of keepers. Sadly my elephants are quite blurry but that is largely because Nikki is quite nervous of these large creatures and starts moving the car the minute the ears start flapping, if they are facing us. :). So I have some reasonable shots of elephant backsides, but I think I will struggle to find one that is not a bit blurry of the elephant facing us.
