When there is a 2 year old in the vehicle, one has to have some balance - we couldn't expect her to sit quietly on my lap for hours and hours looking for animals in the bush and learning to use binoculars, without also giving her time to work off her energy. The camp we stayed at had this lovely pool built against natural rocks and we let her swim until she was totally exhausted
@narayani Yes the pool was fabulous. I had wondered why they built the pool quite a walk from the camp, but when we saw it I realised it really was the best place for a bush pool. It was deep enough for Maddy to jump safely from the built edge or easy for her to walk in or play in the shallows of the sloping rocks.
