Lowman Park Beach

Lowman Park Beach is just down the street from my home. These small parks and beaches around Seattle's and WA State's west-facing coast line are rocky with lots of driftwood. Alki Beach in West Seattle has a nice stretch of sandy beach that is popular with sunbathers. This shot was taken a couple of days ago.

From what I remember the water is quite cold there so the sunbathers couldn't take a swim to cool down.

@k9photo There are sunbathers who are strong swimmers and do go in for a swim. Puget Sound is fed by the Salish Sea. Seattle's summer weather is typically in the 70's with a few weeks of temps going into the 80's. Seattle's heat wave temps can go into the 90's but it only happens for a matter of days.

Beautiful capture of this ocean scene. My husband and I used to live in Victoria, BC they also have some lovely beaches that are rocky with quite a lot of driftwood and sometimes even some sea glass. 😊
