The local pub is at the top of a grassy embankment, and today was one of the few occasions this year when we have been able to enjoy a pint outside, with a view over the tree tops in around the village. It was a clear evening, and so cooled down after dusk, although it allowed a bit of stargazing. Stars are always so much more interesting through the bottom of a beer glass. One particularly bright star travelled steadily across the sky - clearly a satellite, and quite possibly the International Space Station. We have certainly seen the ISS on previous occasions. Rumours that attribute the sightings to the consumption of ale are untrue.
