New Year’s Eve, and the annual “Huncote Hash”, a six mile run along local footpaths and up Croft Hill, organised by a running club based in one of the adjacent villages. After running up and down Croft Hill, runners pass in front of our house to join footpaths across fields leading back to Huncote. Its fun to watch the runners go by, but it leaves the footpaths, and so eventually the dogs, remarkably muddy.
